A fine is set by the Court on a claim. The amount depends on the offender's level — otherwise any amount would be pocket change for a powerful resident. The fine is deducted automatically as soon as the Judge closes the claim; the Judge decides whether it goes to the plaintiff or into the city treasury.
Formulas (Lvl. — the offender's level at the time of the violation; lvl. 1–4 / lvl. 5–9 / lvl. 10+)
• Profanity in chat — 25×Lvl / 50×Lvl / 25×Lvl²
• Insulting a resident in chat or in private messages — 50×Lvl / 100×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Discussing the Keepers' and aides' actions — 50×Lvl / 100×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Insulting Keepers or aides — 100×Lvl / 200×Lvl / 100×Lvl²
• Provoking the Keepers, attempting to mislead — 100×Lvl / 200×Lvl / 100×Lvl²
• Colluding on a match-fixed battle — 50×Lvl / 100×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Letters insulting Keepers and aides — 100×Lvl / 200×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Insults in the Tavern and the Municipality — 100×Lvl / 200×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Holding match-fixed battles — 50×Lvl / 100×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
• Fraud — 100×Lvl / 200×Lvl / 50×Lvl²
For example
50×Lvl at level 3 is 150 crowns, at level 7 — 350. 100×Lvl² at level 12 is 14,400 crowns, at level 20 — 40,000.
What you need to know
• The minimum fine per claim is 100 crowns.
• On a repeat violation, the amount doubles.
• If there aren't enough crowns, whatever there is gets collected.
• Violations outside the table are reviewed by the Judge separately, who may change the amount either way.
• A fine doesn't cancel other punishment: a single violation can get you both a mute and a fine.
