A cheat sheet on what makes up a mage.
Experience and levels
Experience comes from battles, quests, and login rewards. Your level goes up manually, in the Mage Tower.
How much experience you need: level 2 — 150, level 3 — 220, level 4 — 380, level 5 — 560, level 6 — 750, level 7 — 950, and the curve keeps climbing after that.
• Experience resets after leveling up — stockpiling "just in case" is pointless, so take the level as soon as you have it.
• Per level: +5 to max health, a skill point, and, up to and including level 5, 200 crowns.
Health
• Maximum: 60 + 5 × (level − 1). At level 1 it's 60, at level 5 it's 80, at level 20 it's 155.
• Health doesn't fully refill between battles: whatever you had when you left one battle is what you bring into the next.
• It regenerates on its own outside battle — 1 point per minute.
• Faster with food in the tavern. For a clan — the infirmary in the fort.
Skills
Permanent passive bonuses, learned in the Mage Tower using level points. There are elemental branches (Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Necromancy) and general ones, and each skill has several tiers.
School of magic
At level 5 you choose a school: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Necromancy, or neutral magic. You can still play any cards — your school doesn't forbid other elements, it just boosts your own and gives you 7 starting energy in your own element instead of 4.
• Chosen once; you can only change it through reincarnation at the Inn "Seven Roads".
• Choose based on the deck you've actually put together.
• Fire and Necromancy press with damage, Water and Earth hold the defense, Air plays for speed.
Artifacts
Equipped in your profile on a grid of slots. Items have durability: every use spends some of it, and at zero the item crumbles. The Blacksmith repairs artifacts — as long as they haven't crumbled yet.
Loyalty
+5% for every day you play, −5% for every day you miss. At the end of the month: 100% gets you two artifacts, 50–95% gets you one. The reward type is chosen in advance in your profile settings. The same place has quick battle, and turning off animation and sound.

Spreading points one at a time across every branch is the worst approach: half the skills only become noticeable from their second or third tier.
